Political Science (B.A.)

Program Description:

To understand how political systems work, at the local, state, national and international level, is to be engaged as a citizen—and as an active member of a global society. The NLU Political Science program gives you the tools to develop, interpret and manage policies that affect how we live and work—and introduces you to the concept of social justice and its role in today’s society.

How You Will Learn:

NLU is nationally ranked by U.S. News and World Report for offering small classes. Nearly all of your classes will have a maximum enrollment of 20. You also have the opportunity to use field experience to satisfy the internship electives in the program.

What You Will Learn:

  • A comparison of the world’s different political systems.
  • An expanded understanding of the forces that influence international relations.
  • How to develop solutions to social issues using critical problem-
    solving skills.
  • How to apply political theory.

Where You Can Take the Program:

At NLU’s campus in Chicago and Skokie (North Shore).
