From the Provost

To our new adjuncts: Welcome to National-Louis University.
To our returning adjuncts: Welcome back.

Time and time again your commitment to this university has been demonstrated through teaching and service to students.

The final report of our 2001 North Central Association accreditation visit states, "The adjunct faculty is well qualified, dedicated, and contributes to the overall quality of the academic experience by providing content specific expertise." Together with the fulltime faculty you enable us to fulfill our mission of educating a broad range of students, including those who historically have limited access to higher education.

We value your participation in this great university, and we hope this Adjunct Guidebook will facilitate your participation in and understanding of the various processes and procedures unique to our institution. There are two additional guidebooks on this website that contain information regarding other policies and procedures that may pertain to your employment and/or teaching. The first is the Faculty Guidebook and the second is the Student Handbook. Please contact the Provost Office if you need assistance in locating these documents on our website.

No guidebook can be complete; if you have any questions or comments, please contact your immediate supervisor, your dean's office, or the Office of the Provost.
