My name is XXXX XXX and I am a resident of your district. I am currently working towards my degree in XXXX at National-Louis University. I am only able attend college because of the aid that National-Louis provides me from the state Financial Assistance Act grants. Please do not let the governor cut the Financial Assistance program.

Additionally, due to my personal circumstances and the fact that I have transferred from my local community college, I will be unable to graduate in four years. I will need help to afford my fifth year of college. Please restore funding for the 5th Year of the MAP program, students like me need the help. The MAP program makes it possible for me to attend college, please fund the 5th Year of MAP.

You should know that students who rely on this 5th year of MAP funding are the neediest, the hardest working and are also predominantly minority students.

Thanks you for your support for student aid programs, I know you will try to do the right thing.
