Educational Psychology/School Psychology (Ed.D.)
National College of Education

Program Description:

The Educational Psychology doctoral program is available in two tracks.

The School Psychology track is taught utilizing the scientist-practitioner model and prepares you for a career as a psychologist in a school or other educational setting;  to engage in research; or to pursue clinical work in schools or other clinical settings. After completing your course of study, you may be eligible to apply for Type 73 Certification.

The Human Learning and Development track is designed to help you integrate psychological and educational principles and content and to connect theory, research and practice to your learning environment.

How You Will Learn:

Educational Psychology/School Psychology is taught in the traditional model, where students register each term for courses and can take as few or as many as they wish— with faculty advising on the appropriate courses to take at that time.

What You Will Learn:

  • Promote family-school relationship-building.
  • In-depth knowledge of cognition and learning as a social practice.
  • Understand the differences in culturally diverse educational environments.
  • Apply critical problem-solving skills.
