Educational Leadership (Ed.D.)
National College of Education

Program Description:

The NLU doctoral program in Educational Leadership is designed to help you move into administrative and supervisory positions at the school as well as the district level. Course content emphasizes leadership and management skills and is based upon an articulated set of student outcomes. This program also meets the academic requirements for Superintendent Endorsement and the Illinois Type 75 Administrative Certificate.

How You Will Learn:

Educational Leadership is taught using a cohort model, which means you will go through the program with the same group of 12-20 students. NLU graduates like the cohort model because of the support and friendships provided by their fellow students throughout the program.

What You Will Learn:

  • How to expand and use your leadership skills as a professional educator.
  • How to engage in effective education planning and decision-making.
  • How to develop and implement financial, staff development and curriculum planning strategies.
