Vacation Learning with TraveLearn®

Are you tired of vacation travel that is "trivial and bland, devoid of important content, cheaply commercial, and unworthy of our better instincts and ideas?" NLU recently established an affiliation with TraveLearn. TraveLearn designs Learning Vacations that are like first-class field trips. Itineraries and faculty escorts are carefully selected to provide trips that become learning adventures.

Each trip is limited to 20 travelers (the average is 14), uses first-class accommodations, and is designed to give the traveler a taste of local flavor and traditions. Emphasis is placed on contact with local people and their culture. The faculty escorts and in-country guides are selected based on their ability to provide travelers with lasting travel memories.

In 2006 trips are planned to Alaska, Antarctic, Belize, China, Galapagos, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Jordan, Kenya, Morocco, Peru, Russia, Spain, Tanzania, and Turkey.

There are, in addition, family oriented trips designed for you and your children or grandchildren (ages 9 through 16). These intergenerational trips are designed to create lifetime memories; to excite young minds with the wonders of nature, geography, and culture. This year there are Family Learning Vacations planned Alaska, Costa Rica, Egypt, Greece, and Kenya.

TraveLearn is in its 25th year as one of the leading tour companies specializing in educational travel. They partner with over 300 institutions across the United States.
