Who we are- the Elgin Campus

The Elgin Campus of National-Louis University opened its doors in 1989. The Elgin Campus is conveniently located off I-90 (Northwest Tollway) and Route 31 North. The campus can be easily accessed from any direction.

The Elgin Campus faculty is a diverse group of individuals with years of practical experience in their respective fields. The faculty strives to maintain close working relationships with their students while they are completing classes at this campus. Also, faculty and staff interact with students several times a year through campus events that benefit both students and the local community.

A total of 60 faculty- 4 full-time and 56 adjunct and full-time faculty from other campuses support the academic programs and the student body at the Elgin Campus. Who we are- Campus Activities

During the past year, students, staff, and faculty have participated in several events that have benefited the local community. The Elgin Campus held the first "Tailgate on Tollway" event in July, 2003 to meet our local business neighbors, publicize the many programs we offer and build mutually beneficial relationships with our neighbors on Tollgate. At this event, school supplies were collected from those attending to be distributed to children in Elgin at the Mill Apartment complex. Over 200 people attended this very successful and fun summer event! In December, 2003, we held our second annual Elgin Community Toy Drive. Almost 100 people attended "A Cup of Cheer on Tollgate," and over 200 toys were collected for the Women's Crisis Center in Elgin. In February, 2004, staff and faculty held our second annual "Chili Night" for our students. Each faculty and staff member donated homemade chili for the students. The students had 13 varieties of chili to choose from and enjoyed having dinner supplied for them. In May, 2004, faculty, staff, and students participated in a week-long bake sale at the Elgin Campus to benefit the Great American Bake-Off helping to alleviate hunger in America and raised $400 for this cause.  Currently, we are selling bottled water at the Elgin campus with all proceeds going to Acres of Hope Orphanage in Liberia, West Africa.
