Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (Cohort Model)
Degree Completion Program
The Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration is a non-accelerated, cohort, degree-completion program designed for students who have completed an associate’s (A.A. or A.A.S) degree in Management (or equivalent degree) at two-year institutions and additional academic credit. The program allows students to continue to pursue additional credit hours at their two-year institution, after completing their associate degrees, and then entering the cohort program to complete their bachelor’s degree.
These students may continue at their two-year institutions until they have sufficient credit hours to enter the twelve-course, 49-quarter hour degree completion program. Or, the students may complete courses (traditional or FOCUS), CLEP & DANTES exams, or proficiency and portfolio credit at NLU.
Upon completion of the degree completion cohort Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and other university requirements, students will be awarded a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration.
Distinctive Approach
The courses in the Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration are designed to build upon the concepts and knowledge from the coursework students previously completed.
The Business Administration Core courses will be offered in a cohort model and can be completed in 4, 10-week terms, or approximately 12 months of full-time academic study. The cohort will meet for three, three-hour class sessions (one class session per course) per each week during the term. The courses will be offered in different delivery methods, depending on the needs of the particular cohort: day or evening, weekend (Friday evening and Saturday all day), or blended face-to-face and on-line format.
The delivery model and schedule are designed to meet the needs of the students enrolled in the cohort and will be continued for the duration of the cohort’s progression throughout the curriculum. National-Louis University and the College of Management and Business recognize the needs of the adult learner and strive to deliver instruction in formats and schedules that allow for life commitments outside of the classroom while maintaining academic quality.
