Dr. Peled Received her Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Guelph, Canada. She is a member of the American Society for Microbiology and the Illinois Society for Microbiology. Dr. Peled teaches microbiology and immunology as well as more general biology courses. She is involved in science education at the Junior High and High School level through science fairs and tutoring.

Dr. Steinberg received her Ph.D. from the University of Illinois. Her research has been in the field of animal communication. Her courses at NLU include Zoology, Animal Behavior, Genetics, and Tropical Marine Biology. Dr. Steinberg's award-winning biology website can be found at faculty.nl.edu/jste/.

Dr. Gross received his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

His research interests include:

  • Ecological basis of classical biological control of insect pests
  • Ecology and evolution of insect-plant and multi-trophic level interactions
  • Biology, behavior, and ecology of insect parasitoids
  • Effects of vegetation structure and diversity on conservation of parasitoids in natural and managed landscapes.

Dr. Judd received her Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics and Cell Biology from the University of Chicago. Her interests include yeast biology and genomic evolution. She teaches biochemistry, biology and chemistry courses.
