Claudia Miller, Ph.D.

Professor, Health Studies Department

Claudia Miller, PhD, MT(ASCP), CLS is a certified medical technologist/clinical laboratory scientist.  She has over twenty-five years experience as a director of a medical technology program at Saint Joseph Hospital and National-Louis University.  She presently teaches Science of Health and Nutrition to undergraduates and various course in Health Care Leadership.  She also teaches courses for the College of Arts and Sciences Center for Professional Development.  She is director of this unit.
 
Her academic interests include accreditation, curriculum development and outcomes measurement.
 
Dr. Miller is active in her professional societies.  She is Chair of the Clinical Laboratory Science Review Committee of the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences.  She serves on multiple committees for the Illinois Society of Clinical Laboratory Sciences.  She is on the panel for CheckPath and Teleconferences for the American Society for Clinical Pathology.
 
Regarding service to the community, Dr. Miller coordinates a church group for the disabled, serves on her parish council, and presents workshops on Racism and Ethnic Sensitivity.  She is a literacy volunteer.
