Randee Lipson Lawrence

Randee Lipson Lawrence, Associate Professor began her career at NLU in 1984 as a facilitator of alternative higher education programs for adults. Her research interests include extrarational ways of knowing and learning through the arts. She is the editor of “Artistic Ways of Knowing: Expanded Opportunities for Teaching and Learning”, and the author of several publications which exemplify her practice of incorporating affective, cognitive somatic and spiritual dimensions into her teaching. She also works with students to use these processes in their research. Additional research interests and commitments include: Feminist pedagogy, collaborative inquiry, experiential learning and non-traditional adult education. Randee has a doctorate in Adult and Continuing Education from Northern Illinois University.
