Since 1990, Winnie Kauffman has been the Corporate Coordinator of System, Patient Registration, and Insurance Program Training for the Evanston Hospital Corporation in Evanston, Illinois, including the Evanston and Glenbrook Hospitals, of the Northwestern Heathcare Network. Prior employer-based education positions included being a regional customer service manager for a subsidiary of Diners Club; corporate insurance manager for seven steel foundries throughout the United States, including group health, workers compensation, safety, and wellness programs; and a manager for a national law firm, specializing in litigation preparation of third party liability and unfair denial of Medicaid applications caseloads.

Winnie has an Applied Science Degree in Business Administration, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management, and a Master Degree in Adult Education. She can tell you, by example of her successful adult journey, that education develops best within the human process of maturing in every facet of one's life...experiences at work, during play, by healthy sense of spirituality, and within personal and professional relationships.

Recognizing her interest in and benefits from the humanist orientation to education during the master's degree program, Winnie identified her "meta" need within adult and continuing education processes, and describes it best in her mission statement:

I want to help others to cope maturely with injustices done to them, beyond coping mechanisms, by finding purposes and goals for their unique lives through an education process.
