I was born and raised on the Southwest side of Chicago.

After spending many years in the business world, I returned to school. I attended DePaul University and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from its School for New Learning. I continued my education at Governors State University and earned a Master of Arts degree in Instructional and Training Technology.

I have been involved in some aspect of technical training for the past 23 years. I am currently employed by Aon Corporation, a multi-billion dollar insurance company. My title is the Senior Education Consultant. I manage the technical training function including mainframe, midrange and Personal Computer training requirements. I also manage the company's Learn To Earn program. This program was established to provide PC skills for economically disadvantaged residents in Chicago's Uptown Community.

I have one sister. Margaret is C.O.O. (Chief Operating Officer) of St. Joseph's hospital here in Chicago.
