Reinhardt is beautiful 120 year-old college tucked away in the rolling hills outside of Atlanta and near the base of the Appalachian Mountains. My daily tasks there include instructing students with Learning Disabilities to create academic strategies and emotional determination to tackle college level classes in History and Religion. This is also my fourth year teaching future teachers about Exceptional Children and Children with Special Needs to prepare them to serve a variety of students in their own classrooms. I count my past experiences around the United States teaching primarily junior high but also pre-school, elementary and high school, my most valuable educational assets when guiding future teachers.
In my God’s eyes, I believe I am a wealthy woman. My investments are in my family team and people of all ages involved in education. My husband Ted, and two sons Ben and Bill support my adventure as I support theirs with love, prayers and encouragement.
I learn in relationships with “life long students of teaching” as we share positive and challenging teaching experiences and reflect on current research. National Louis University seems to be offering that kind of structure within their program, while bringing together educators from around the country. What an opportunity to improve our nations educational system, our own outlook, and serve our students one idea at a time!
