Using the Internet

The Internet offers a wealth of information.  Unfortunately, SO MUCH information exists that we sometimes feel like we are searching for the "needle in the haystack." 

Check out the websites below to develop or fine-tune your Internet skills.  You'll soon be known to your friends as a "webarian."

Internet Tutorials - Looking to improve your Internet skills?  Try this group of tutorials on Internet basics, research, search engines, browsers, and related software.  From the library at the State University of New York at Albany.

webTeacher - self-paced Internet Tutorials that put LOTS of basic and in-depth information about the World Wide Web at your fingertips.

Internet Tutorials: How to Finding Good Internet Resouces Educational Clearinghouses - find "good" sites without being overwhelmed using this collection of resource guides from the Germantown Academy.

Using the Internet - a directory of reliable resources from The Learning Page, the Library of Congress. 

Internet Tutorials -  PBC.com offers some of the best self-guided tutorials available. These examples and resources were assembled with teachers in mind.
