COUNSELING A licensed counselor in the Office of Student Affairs is available to provide short-term counseling for academic, personal, and career concerns. This office provides workshops and support groups each designed to enhance skills, awareness and perspective. A counselor is available to assist students in resolving difficulties or roadblocks, which hinder progress toward academic success and satisfaction. Students are encouraged to confer with a counselor at any time about family problems, relationships with others, stress management, time management, anxiety, depression, crisis situations, financial difficulties, or adjustments to the transitions of university life. The office also provides referral services. For more information contact the Director of Counseling at 224-233-2443 or e-mail us.

NLU offers students free, anonymous online resources with the Ulifeline network.
